The High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling (HiMCM) was designed to provide students with the opportunity to work as team members in a contest that will stimulate and improve their problem solving and writing skills. This competition takes place at RHS with your team (of up to four students) working on a real-world problem for a consecutive thirty-six hour period.
Teams are allowed to work on the contest problem at any available facility and then submit their Solution Papers to COMAP for centralized judging. We want to encourage you and your students to form a team(s) from your school.
Rigby High School participated in this contest for the first time in November, 2013!! We had 3 teams compete, for a total of 12 students! Results will be posted soon. **If you are interested in competing in this competition in the future, please come talk to Mr. Swenson and he can discuss the contest in more detail. This contest looks GREAT on a college application!**
